  4. I’m in North Carolina with my wife and daughter for the summer, so I figured I’d post some americana. I’ve decided I love USA, which might sound strange for a European. Everyone here are super talkative and friendly. I had no idea a society existed where people strike up a lengthy conversation with the person working at the gas station or the pharmacy with such natural ease. Everything is cheap (might be due to great currency conversion from Norwegian to American) and the heat wave is absolutely fantastic. I started the day with an hour in the pool before sitting on the porch watching hummingbirds and dragonflies for a while.

  5. Koray Birand for Harper’s Bazaar

    Here’s a photographer I’ve never heard of until stumbling over some of his work today. Koray shoots for all the magazines I don’t read (Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, Elle, etc) and I’m surprised to find I like a lot of the work. An old school approach to colors and composition makes some of the photographs timeless and interesting.

    This video breaks with the photographer’s usual style, and definitely breaks with what I think of Harper’s Bazaar. A bit Shoreditch hipster music, but not at all terrible.
